The story continues of the little family's trip to Asia and Europe.
After some time in Asia, Mummy, Daddy and Morgy left for Europe in mid-December. The trip back was interesting including some projectile vomiting and potty disasters... but Daddy and Morgy made it to Finland (Morgan wearing adult size KLM pyjama pants) and Mummy made it to Paris. Mummy spent the week partying in Paris (or was that working?) and was lucky enough to see many friends who came to Paris specially for her! After a long week Mummy came to Finland everyone was in real Christmas mood!
Here are some of the highlights:
Morgy ends the trip from Kuala Lumpur to Helsinki in an adult size KLM pyjamas.
Countries and climate may change, but Morgand still has a passion for driving boats.
Even without snow you can have fun in Finland. At least some fun.
A few days before Christmas Morgan gets to choose the Christmas tree (even Ida the dog has an opinion)
It is a tough choice, but finally the choice is made.
Morgan carries the tree home and daddy helps a bit.
Then it's time to decorate the tree...
Farmor has to help Morgan with the decorations.
Part of the tradition is to bake some "pepparkakor" and "bulla". Morgan is very helpful.
The legos also help with the baking.
Helping Mummy with the flour is a lot of fun though.
Morgy makes his first bullas...
And also eats the first ones!
The first Christmas event is breakfast with Uncle Robert's family to have homemade "Julgröt"
The warm breakfast gives everyone courage to go to the graveyard under the rain to visit all the ancestors...
The wind and rain make lighting candles on the graves quite the challenge!
Despite the rain Morgan enjoys carrying the candle basket and running in between the graves in the cemetery.
Finally there's a knock on the door and "Julgubben" is there!
Anna seems just as happy as Morgy to be in Julgubben's lap!
Julgubben gives Morgy a big present amongst many others... how exciting!
Before Julgubben continues his long hard trip a family picture is taken!
The big present was nothing less than... an aquarium with a Nemo!!!
All the presents nearly cover up the awesome tree! even Siri the dog is excited!
Morgy is happy to spend time with gammel-mormor and gammel-morfar... while they discover the surprise!
The best part of Christmas (besides presents) is.... food!
Morgy helps distribute presents... quite a process!
Every ones in a while he takes a break to play with his new toys...
...or play with faster Anna!
Morgy likes to show us all this fun presents... tshirts...
...Goggles...
Until finally all the presents are distributed and another family picture is taken
After Christmas Swedish visitors in the form of Magnus, Bene, Andre and Joel come to visit! Lots of fun for both adults and children
And finally, a month later, it's time to go home; A bittersweet feeling as family will be missed will still enjoying finally getting home.
Once home, Morgy rediscovers all his toys and even takes his lego out for our first brunch!
For New Years, many friends come to celebrate. The kids have their mini dinner...
...and the adults have a huge gastronomic dinner!
This boy knows the important things in life!
And everyone gets a bag with 12 grapes for the midnight celebration.
Good thing Mummy and Morgy are trying to stop Daddy from popping open the champagne too early!
The whole crew gets together and shouts: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The celebrations are finished with some nice fireworks courtesy of the dynamic Jeff & AJ duo.
All the best for 2014 everyone! We promise we will do better on our blogs, we even have a surprise coming up.
