Morgan and the broken leg

As many of you know Morgan recently had a small accident while riding his tricycle one evening. Morgan's foot managed to get entangled in the wheel which led to a fracture of his little leg. After calming Morgy for a few minutes it was quickly decided to take him to the hospital as he couldn't stand on the leg. An x-ray found the fracture and a cast was put on Morgan's leg before anyone realised what was happening.

After a pretty good nights sleep a surprised Morgan woke up with a cast covering almost his whole left leg. Moving was very difficult but fortunately there are things you can do sitting, especially if you're 1½. They daycare also has plenty of toys to play with and sitting outside is not so bad. After a few days Morgan figured out how to "scoot" and he even walked a bit with the cast after 2 weeks.

He then got a shorter cast below the knee with a boot and was running even faster than before (with the cast of course). The only real problem with this cast was not being able to shower and swim and not being able to play in the sandbox. The remaining two weeks went in a blink and Morgy got a boot you could take off for baths and sleeping. And before we knew it the boot was off as well and Morgy was running on his bare feet.

Morgan has already forgotten all about the broken leg, casts and boot so here are a few pictures to remember the incident:

On "beach-day", Morgan has already forgotten that he once walked without a cast

 He also has nice dinners with mummy

 Then it's time to get the shorter cast; a very relieved and happy Morgan comes home!

You can do so much more with a shorter cast

...like watching ducks in the river...

...or running on the beach

He even gets his friends to sign the cast!

And before we know it the cast is off replaced by the boot

Life is easy with the boot, you can go back to tricycling again (ok, admittedly he was already on it the day after the accident)



You can even travel to Europe with the boot!

The last day with the boot is spent in Helsinki. And finally Morgan is free again! (and everything is quickly forgotten)
