Skiing in Snowbird

Hello all!

We're continuing our "tradition" of being 6 months late with our blog postings, despite our best efforts to improve. This is about the skiing trip we did back in February/March. We went to Snowbird, Utah which means that it was on a fairly high altitude and very dry but it also meant lots of snow. The resort being small and close to the airport meant that we didn't have to rent a car which was nice. Morgan enjoyed the snow although he would have preferred to do some skiing himself. Next year......

Here's the evidence:

In order to get to Snowbird we have to take an airplane! That's always exciting!

The views are pretty stunning, even Morgan agrees!

Morgan is all excited about being in a hotel room, but first mummy's shoes must be tested!

The high altitude can be very tiring, both Mummy and Morgan have to take a nap!

While Morgan is at the daycare Mummy and Daddy are enjoying the slopes!

But there's plenty of fun to be had at the daycare. Here Morgan shows the "snowman" they made!

It's also fun to slide on your bum!

Walking on snow can be hard though, so Daddy has to help!

It is a lot of fun in the snow!

Riding down with daddy is very much fun!

Especially on a sledge!

After all the fun outdoor activities it's nice to go to a outdoors hot thub (especially when it snows)

After all that you also got to drive a car with daddy!

After a fun few days in the mountains a very happy Morgan heads home

And a very happy mummy!

Visiting Cousins in Florida

Yes, we've gone from being 5 months late to being 7 months late... That said we have quite a few posts coming up that we've already prepared so we should be back on track in September. At least that's the goal.
This post is about our nice trip to Florida in January. Daddy's cousin Nicklas and his family decided to visit Florida for several weeks and we had the chance to go and visit them for a long weekend. It turns out that the "winter" in Florida is quite a bit warmer than the winter in Georgia. Not that the winters are very cold in Georgia, but it was still a nice change with lots of swimming and other outdoor activities.

Here are the pictures:

After a short flight we take the bus to the car rental!

The following morning Morgan is cautiously trying the water....

...but it doesn't take long before all the boys are in the water!

While the girls are enjoying the warm weather on the patio...

...and the young Mether boys go for a walk...

...the older Mether boys are busy trying to find tickets to an ice-hockey match!

In the evening there's time to go to the beach and watch the boats!

And Morgan is dug down in the sand

There's also time for a sibling picture!

And a family one!

After several hours on the beach it's time for a cousin-bath!

The following day we drive down to Miami Beach!

On the beach you can play with mummy...

 ...build castles of sand...

...or just run in the waves!

Sometimes it feels a bit chaotic on the beach!

After a full day on the bach it's time for drinks in Miami!

The final day we get to spend some more time in the pool!

After some last words of wisdom from Great-Aunt Hannele it's time to say good-bye!

The Corbiers visit Morgy for Christmas 2012

We are extremely behind in the blogging schedule. But don't worry folks, we are on our way to catch up. We will start with a blog about Christmas (yes, it is 5 months late).

This Christmas we decided to invite our families to Atlanta. We were lucky that Mamie Annie, Papi Jeannot, Tonton Fabs and Tata Cathy could make it across the globe to share some family moments with Morgy! After a week spent in Atlanta the whole family flew to Puerto Rico and enjoyed some (a lot actually) swimming, good food, cocktails, golf and some scuba diving. Morgand was mostly happy to be able to spend time with the family.

Here are some pictures from Christmas:

We decided to prepare Morgy to the Christmas traditions with his friends... but he was terrified of Santa Claus; "I scare!"

Morgan helped choose the Christmas tree with Annie and Papy Jeannot.

The winter forest was a good entertainment between the many shopping trips and meals!

Morgy even found a stick or two.... "A big ONE!"

Tonton Fabs discovered how energetic his nephew is!

But he also enjoyed the more relaxing times just having milk, whisky and reading a book! (Morgan did not have any whisky of course)

Well... relaxing with Fabs but not with mum!

Sniffy cat also had his family moments with the guests!

Before brunch what better to do than build a "castle" with Papy Jeannot?

But we welcomed our guests with some of Max's brunch specials!

And then went out for other brunches...

Mummy had to keep Morgy busy during the many shopping sessions!

And finally we all made to the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve!

The Dempseys and Harrops came over for Christmas dinner and Morgy had a blast (Em slightly less of a blast apparently...)!

The biggest gift was for Morgy (as it should)... a bike from Fabs & Cathy!!!

The many presents were fascinating...

Morgy was up all night and never lost his smile!

Morgy had to carefully study every single gift...

... Take many pictures...

... And try on some other gifts...

A bedtime story with Mamie Anny was the last activity of the Christmas eve celebration.

Since we had to wake up early to take the airplane!

But it was a smooth ride with mummy all the way to Puerto Rico!

The Puerto Rico Gran Melia pool was awesome and the whole family enjoyed it...

Especially Morgy who was learning to swim alone!

And he managed!

Even though it's always more fun to be hanging on Tonton Fabs!

After multiple sessions of throwing Number 1 and Truck in the pool...

Mamie Annie and Papy Jeannot decided to keep them hostage!...

Morgy was in the water all day long until sunset!

At breakfast, Tonton Fabs shared some scuba pictures of the turtles... how fascinating!

One day we even left the water to go to the jungle and waterfalls!

Morgy greatly enjoyed finding huge banana tree leaves...

And using them on Daddy to move along the path!

The boys went for a swim in the waterfall...

And then continued their marching through the jungle.

We managed to get everybody for a family picture by the sea.

And a special moment with Mamie Anny before going golfing.

Morgy and mummy had to go to the pool while the others enjoyed golf! This trip to Puerto Rico was a lot of FUN! Gracias!

We then started 2013 with our family photo: Happy 2013 to all our family and friends!!!
