Autumn adventures

Morgan's autumn has been full of small adventures besides the big ones already described in this blog. Here we have a few images of Morgan's daily life in Atlanta this autumn.

Morgan is posing for the picture (a future model?)

Morgan loves having breakfasts (even on his shirt)

Playing in the leaves is even more fun

Mogran loves balls, no matter the size or colour, every kind of ball is fun!

He also loves riding on his Moose

On Father's day (in Finland) Morgan sent a little greeting to farfar Bengt

Morgan also likes "playing" with playing cards (not that many left now)

One day while walking Morgan fell asleep in the stroller and slept on the porch for a few hours

During the autumn Morgan started climbing up the chairs (and falling down from them)

Sitting in drawers is another fun game

Morgan also got some Lego that he loves

Morgan also tried some winter clothes before the trip to Europe

Marco came to visit and Morgan got to read with him in the sofa

And spend some time with the Coca-cola founder

Not to mention the coca-cola polar bear!

Morgan also helped daddy make a fire in the fireplace (it was nice to watch)

In December a new daily routine was added, opening the advent calendar!

Thanksgiving

As most of you know thanksgiving is a very traditional holiday in the US. Traditionally it is spent together with famliy, eating turkey and being thankful. The Methers did none of the above (not true actually, we were thankful). Not having any family around and having spent all summer vacations saying goodbye to people it was decided to have more of a real holiday at thanksgiving. After long discussions (and looking at prices and air tickets) Aruba was chosen as the destination. Having direct flights at good times and not having to do all-inclusive were major selling points...

The travel was a smooth affair with the new stroller that was purchased for easier travelling. Morgan decided to try to stay awake as long as possible in the plane which resulted in him wreaking havoc for 3.5h and falling asleep 20 minutes before landing. The bus ride to the hotel was smooth despite Morgan being tired though and the vacation started well.

The vacation itself was a nice affair, it wasn't sunny all the time, it rained a bit each day, but it was warm enough and we got to be at the beach and the pool a lot. Morgy thought the water was a bit cold but he did still swim a bit and the last day he got really excited about being in the pool. Having lots of restaurant within walking distance was also very welcome and left us with lot's of dinner choice. All in all a very good vacation!

P.S. Well, it wasn't all roses. There was a very interesting episode of projectile vomiting in Morgy's stroller at a restaurant (which left poor Morgan bathing in vomit in the stroller). After a quick cleaning session in the bathroom with mummy while daddy was apologizing to the other guests daddy tried to rush back to the hotel with a Morgy in mere diapers. Unfortunately that night the restaurant was far from the hotel. Eventually everyone made it back to the hotel, but it wasn't the last vomiting that night... After an exciting night of vomiting sessions, lack of sleep and changing bedsheets (Morgan ended up sleeping in towels) Morgy was feeling better again. After that Morgan got really careful with his eating though, he ate less and the only thing he really wanted was.... bananas as usual!

A tired Morgan arrives to the hotel and has a banana

After the banana Morgan is awake again

Morgan had a lot of fun swimming with mummy

...looking for his surfboard

....playing in the sand with daddy

...sunbathing with mummy's sunglasses....

...and having bananas

Morgan loved to explore on his own

...but most of all he liked the playground

Playing in the sand was also a lot of fun

Morgan also enjoyed having breakfast outside the hotel

But the stroll was even more fun!

Going to a Brazilian churrasco also made Morgan smile (no it wasn't here)

Playing in diapers was another favorite activity

When Morgan found a ball he was so excited he just had to sit on it

Building sandcastles is a passionate form of art

Morgan enjoyed watching the sunset on the beach

It's a good time for posing with mummy...

...and with daddy

The last night we went to an Aruban restaurant and Morgan got to choose his drink

...and his food to mummy's horror

The following day it was time to leave, but not without Aruba the dog

It was a very exhausted Morgan who fell asleep at the airport
