Atlanta, here Morgan comes!

The trip to Atlanta was quite an exciting endeavour for Morgan and the whole familly. Travelling for 11h with lots of luggage, a cat and a Morgan is quite different from travelling for 3-4 with a Morgan. Everyone survived the trip however and Morgan even managed to sleep 2h and make lots of friends on the plane.

Once in Atlanta it was all about discovering the new temporary flat and many other new things, the daycare etc. Morgan tried the daycare for 2½ days and now loves going there. A definitive success.

The trip starts with an early awakening and a taxi ride to the airport.

Everyone ready to board? Morgan does not seem ready and he was indeed one of the last to board.

On the plane Morgan made some new friends

After 9.5h on the plane + 1h waiting at the border control a tired daddy tries to handle all luggage, cat and Morgy. Not completely successful...

A few hours later and Morgy is renting a car, with mummy's help

To everyone's surprise (at least daddy's) everything fits into the car

Last weeks in France

Time has finally come for Morgan to leave France for a while. In order to enjoy France to its fullest Morgan spent some action packed weeks. The last weeks were even rougher for mummy and daddy who also had to work and do some other weird things like paperwork and such.

First Haircut

The past few weeks have been very active for little Morgan. He has been travelling quite a bit, going to Tournecoupe, Nantes, Montelimar (for a wedding) and then back to Tournecoupe. It has however also been a very active time for Morgan's development. While the days are long gone when you could put Morgan in one place and expect him to be there some minutes later it has grown even worse. Now you cannot expect Morgan to be in the same room (or even the same flat) just a few seconds after putting him down. He moves with such speed and confidence that mummy and daddy are left wondering if he will even bother to learn to walk. And thus far, Morgan does not seem that interested in walking, crawling at full speed is sufficient for him.

There has also been some other physical developments, Morgans proud range of teeth has increased from 2 to 5 with a 6th one clearly on it's way. He has also gained some considerate jaw strength as all those unfortunate enough to put their fingers in his mouth can attest. Morgan's vocabulary has also increased quite a bit with more complicated sounds. His unspeakable (and unwritable) sounds are however impossible to put into writing.

Besides mobility, teeth and vocabulary Morgan's hair has also continued growing. It's grown to the point that most unfamiliar people think he is a girl... It also hindered his sight a bit so mummy and daddy decided to spring to action. On a long dark summer evening Morgan got his first haircut. Now cutting Morgan's hair was a lot more complicated than it sounds as Morgan isn't very good at sitting still. The process involved mummy holding Morgan with daddy trying to cut his hair and also cutting himself and barely missing mummy's fingers. The end result might not be the best haircut in the world, but at least it is shorter.

He even helped Thomas choose his drink (he went for beer in the end thanks to Morgan)

But he liked it in the end!
