Glamorous weekend in Cannes for Morgan

While daddy (the cat) was away, the mice went out to play for a long weekend in Cannes with mummy's family. It was a lot of fun and really nice to put our toes in the cold Mediterranean sea... Here are a few pictures from the weekend:

We started off with a family picnic in Antibes

After a few glasses of rosé, everyone was very keen to play with little Morgy

We all chilled out by the sea

Then we went for a "digestive" walk along the coast

Great uncle and aunt decided to buy Morgy a bathtub for the 3 day visit, so he enjoyed it to the max...

An afternoon visit to St Julien for tea (no boar this time)...

...and a glass of champagne!

Morgan is a real Finn, he said "this water isn't cold mummy!"...

...and chatted up the girls on the beach!

And we ended the whole weekend with a barbeque under the sunshine!

First picnic for Morgan

The sun is finally shining, a perfect excuse to run to the parc in the weekend to have a picnic amongst friends! Morgy's first picnic ever was a lot of fun, here are a few shots of the day:

Until it was time for a little fruit snack...

But snatching mummy's sunglasses is so much more fun

But once we got started, Morgan got impatient when the spoonfuls of food weren't coming fast enough!

But in the end, he was a happy Morgan and we will definitely do this again!

Morgy 5.5 months - a big boy!

Last week Morgan took his first steps to adulthood.... Ok, admittedly adulthood is still quite far, but he did take some significant steps in his development.

He had his first meals of "solid" food consisting of mashed vegetables and fruits with water (yes, it's actually not very solid). The first meals were quite an event and after trying different spoons and other things all involved have finally become somewhat proficient in the whole process.

The other big event in the last week was that Morgan started going to baby swimming. Being in a pool with all that water was a bit frightening at first, but Morgan eventually liked it, although the water wasn't as warm as the baths he normally gets at home.

Morgan wakes up, unaware of the big day that awaits him...

In order to eat properly you of course need a good chair. So Morgan got a new Stokke chair.

First spoons of solid food. The result is that most of the food is everywhere except in Morgan's mouth.

But Morgan does like it.

He even can't wait to get more. Faster daddy, faster!

The following day Morgan is eagerly having breakfast together with daddy.

Then it's time for the baby swimming. First moments in the water... Morgan is not sure what to think. (And yes, the ridiculous hats are compulsory in France)

Even together with mummy and daddy Morgan is a bit unsure of what to think.

He does meet some new friends though...

...and some really nice toys that float!

Towards the end it's a happy Morgan who gets out of the pool.

To finish it off Morgan get's to shower for the first time in his life. And together with daddy!

Being a big boy he now gets to sit in the pram on the way home!
