Morgan's trip to Abu Dhabi

Mormor Annie, Mummy and Morgan flew to Abu Dhabi on the 15th of January for a week. It so happens that 33 years earlier on this very same day Annie was flying to Dubai with little Sandy for the first time!

The week was full of adventures and new encounters for little Morgy and it was his first sensations of beach and sand!!! But a week was not long enough to do all the things we would have liked to... however here are a few things we did:

Mummy being a beach bum we had to hit the beach on the first day there... and Morgy enjoyed it too.

Wearing uncle Fabs's overalls is definitely a blast

Even though he has Finnish genes, the water was too cold for lilla Morgan.. but fun new sensations!

..in order to be in top shape to relax in the beach lounge bar with mum

Morgan is surely thinking about his daddy at this point!

Eliane, our host, was also very attentive to the fact that Morgy shouldn't catch too much sun...

So he took naps in the shade!

Morgan also got to new a lot of new people: Nory was so happy to meet little Morgy

Auntie Colette organised a ladies lunch for mormor's friends to meet Morgy, the guest star!

Auntie Mouna was definitely seduced by Morgan's charms...

Morgan found it nice to relax in the bugaboo while the ladies chatted away!

While shopping Morgy decided to take a nap in the supermarket trolley!

One morning we even went to buy fresh fish and shrimps at the fish market... lots of new smells: how exciting!

On the last day we even had a glamorous outing to the famous formula 1 YAS hotel, there things shine everywhere!

It was such a nice vacation, thanks to all our friends who helped us do so much and enjoy it!

We'll surely come back soon, but next time with daddy for a nice family picture in the sunset!!

Morgy plays games now!

Over the past month Morgy has been changing every day!!! It's becoming difficult to leave him alone on the playing mat because he could suddenly turn up at the other end of the room.

Here are a few shots of these great fun moments! This is mummy's first time to update the blog, daddy having so much to do, so it's a bit slow but she'll get the hang of it....eventually

Morgan still enjoys the afterbath massages but you have to hold on to him or he can sneak away...

Playing with mum consists of flying on her legs which also allows her to work her abs!

Playing with dad however is much more relaxing (they are pretending to play, as they really are watching rugby...)

Who's that new friend Morgan's just discovered?

Morgy likes to grab the hanging monkeys and pull them with all his strength, the only issue being that he doesn't know how to let go.

Sometimes Morgan needs a little rest and nothing better than daddy's chest for a nap!

Bad habits with phones do start early nowadays. Howewver this phone is mostly used for eating

Morgan still doesn't sleep through the night, eventhough he got a bigger bed. Despite the bed it's still fun to wake up mum & dad during the night...

Sophie la Giraffe is Morgy's great friend and is definitely worth crawling to...

But all this is so very exhausting and sometimes a nap in the jungle is necessary...

Morgan's first Christmas

After the trip to Finland it was time to celebrate Christmas. This year Christmas was celebrated at Morgan's maternal grandparents cottage in Tournecoupe in the south-west of France (this is also were Morgnas paren'ts got married). The celebration was strengthened by a Finnish delegation including a few fasters and a farmor.

Morgan and mother left earlier to help prepare the cottage for the festivites. The Finnish delegation arrived a few days later, driving through France from Paris all the way down to Tournecoupe.

After a long train ride down to Tournecoupe, Morgan is a bit tired.



He does joyfully wake up to greet Nicolas though.


And he finally gets a nice bath by mormor and mummy.


After the bath it's always nice to be all covered up!


The following day Jaqueline comes to visit to Morgan's excitement!


Then the Finnish delegation arrives. Everyone is happy to see Morgan again (even naked)


Before the Christmas eve celebrations can commence, some serious cooking and baking is needed.


The grandmothers enjoy cooking and baking!


Finally it's Christmas eve and everyone is dressed up (even Morgan)



When the Christmas celebrations last too long a small nap is needed, even for Santa's little helpers.

The presents are still waiting for their takers...


Then on Christmas day poor Morgan woke up with a pretty bad cold.


Everyone else enjoyed their Christmas porridge for breakfast though.


A nice walk was organised for everyone in the beautiful countryside.

Then it was time for some nice warm glögg.


And finally the presents!!!! Morgan starts by getting new vans from faster Anna!



And a Christmas bedbook.

And a nice measuring tapestry!

And a very well wrapped mobile.

And a nice cat!


But opening so many presents made Morgan very tired again....


So he sleeps in farmor's arms


Then it was time to leave after a family picture.

And after saying goodbye to the hosts!!
