The trip to Finland

This blog post is a bit late, and also the longest so far.... So apologies for that and enjoy it anyway !

A few weeks ago Morgan went to Finland to visit his Finnish (and Swedish) relatives. A 5 day rush of meeting as much family and friends as possible... Despite the rush it turned out to be a very successful trip for all involved: Morgan, friends & family and even the tired parents.

The trip started with visiting Morgans great grandparents (gammel-morfar and gammel-mormor) in whose basement the little family stayed. There a nice dinner was organised for Morgan's farmor's family. From there followed meetings with Morgan's second cousin, farfar, farbror Cosmo and faster Emma... All in all a lot to take in for little Morgan.

Being a seasoned traveller Roald now travels with his own hifi equipment!!

After a long day of travelling in planes Morgan slept all the way to the home from the airport...

...and since his pram was lost by the airline he had to continue sleeping in a bathtub.

After a nice dinner and a long walk home the whole family crashes on the same bed

Then we meet some more family, here some serious eye-to-eye contact with farbror "Jesus" Cosmo

Morgan's first trip!

A week ago Morgan made his first trip. This was to Chieti, Italy to attend Nelly's and Pino's wedding. The trip went well and flying with Morgan turned out to be a piece of cake. Morgan was also a success at the wedding (at least at the dinner afterwards) where he charmed everyone at his table. After charming everyone at the starter Morgan spent the remaining 6h of the party sleeping, showing that he's capable of sleeping under some considerable Italian noise...

After a long flight and car ride (Rome to Chieti) it's fun to get changed in the hotel room...

...and to sleep in a big big bed.

First there was the hindu wedding, Morgan is appropriately wearing his elephant shirt.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Some rest is needed, the ceremony was a bit long for Morgan (and daddy).

After the hindu and catholic wedding, Morgan charmed everyone at the dinner table!

The following day Morgan needed some extra sleep in the car after a long night out.

But flying was easier this time!

First smiles

During the past 3-4 weeks our gray days have been lit up by Roald's first smiles. It has been difficult to get proof of this however, as they have been fleeting moments indeed. Also because he likes to smile at people and puts on his most serious face as soon as the camera is around...

This has been improving a bit lately though and we've found him smiling at paintings, the cat, even the roof and the walls a few times. He has even laughed out loud a few times!

Past weeks adventures

The past weeks have been full of adventure for little Morgan and he's done many new things. Below is a sample of some of the adventures he's had during the past weeks:
