Aux armes, citoyens...

Yes, Morgan is now officially French! He received his passport a few days ago, despite secretly visiting the Finnish embassy the week before. In order not to forget his Finnish heritage, Reetta spent a few days with Morgan only speaking Finnish to him.

Morgan has also had his first physiotherapy sessions due to a wry neck (torticollis) which most likely happened during labor. He is enjoying his neck stretching sessions and even managed to sleep through one of them.

He also met his 1 month older friend Emrik, but he was not impressed despite Emrik being quite a bit bigger than Morgan.

And he still enjoys his baths (not to mention being covered by a towel afterwards)

First visit from Finland

Last week Morgan had his first visit from Finland. His paternal grandmother (farmor) came over for a few days. With her she brought many presents from those who could not make the trip (and also some salmon and rye bread for mummy and daddy). The week was not spent idling at home though, but Morgan got to visit many new exciting places, such as the Louvre and the Finnish embassy.

And after a long and tiring week it's nice to practice (MJ) dance moves on the sheepskin

Morgan 1 month!

Yesterday little Morgan turned 1 month. This exceptional event was celebrated in combination with Scandinavian Father's Day (also yesterday) in an Ethiopian restaurant. It shows us all how fast time is moving. It seems like only yesterday when he was only some unidentified shape sticking out of his mum's belly...

While he has grown quite a bit, there hasn't been that many notable changes besides the physical growth. He cries a bit less and he definitely is more aware of things and looks at things more thoroughly but beyond that.... he neither talks nor walks yet :) Admittedly he has also lost some hair and is quickly growing bolder than his dad.

The number of things he has done keeps increasing though. He recently participated in his first sports event (as a spectator) and he wore his first tie. He had the dinner at the Ethopian restaurant (ok, he only had milk, but still...) etc.

Here are some images:

Growing and evolving

Today was another great day in Morgan's life. We went to measure Morgan and found out that he has now reached the impressive weight of 3,970kg and the height of 54cm, thus finally surpassing his dad at birth. Today Morgan also got his first bouncer which was used with moderate success. We're hoping for more luck tomorrow.

Morgan's sleeping cycles have also been statistically followed and it seems like he has inherited something from his paternal grandmother while sleeping an average of 11½h / day which is way below the "normal" average of 15-17h / day.

It's been an exciting few weeks, here are some more images of Morgan's great achievements.
